Kenzie Rose La Buy
May 29, 2013 ~ August 25, 2014
Kenzie Rose La Buy entered this world on the morning of May 29, 2013. From the start, she was a vibrant, energetic child with an eagerness to learn about the wonders the world held just for her. She was the first child of her doting father, James La Buy, little sister to Caleb and Tristan Rupert, a first granddaughter and a first niece to an extended family that will miss her terribly. She was taken from us on August 25, 2014, just shy of being 15 months old.
It is in remembering her short life that her spirit will live on in us - her smile, her laugh, her babbling as she learned to speak. She learned quickly and had a magical spark about her that made her all the more precious. Kenzie Rose presented those of us who knew her with a new perspective on life.
Her brief life was a gift to her family and the community. While we are abhorred at the circumstance of her death, it is in the knowing that she is now at peace and no one can hurt her anymore that we must take solace. Although it is difficult, we must accept that she is now in much better hands than we could ever provide in this realm. She is being cared for by family members who have gone on before us. She would not want us to be sad about her passing and I know that she would be doing her best to raise our spirits.
I would like to share that “Kenzie” means fair, and of course Rose is for the flower. We should all cherish her memory and know that we were privileged to spend a moment in time with a fair flower.
Arrangements were handled in Utah by Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A celebration of Kenzie Rose's life was held on September 7, 2014 in Lynnwood, Washington.
