SYRACUSE – On April 11, 2008 Kevin Brent Allen left his mortal probation on earth. Kevin was born on April 8, 1964 in Kansas City, MO to his loving parents Brent and Connie Allen. He was 44. He was raised in Layton, with his sister, Pam, and his brother Brad. He was educated in the Davis County School District, and graduated with honors from Layton High School. He attended Weber State College and was a member of the Mensa Society.
He was a member of the LDS Church and served a full time mission in Paraguay. He was also an Eagle Scout and received his Duty to God award. He taught Primary, which he loved because he loved children. He especially loved his nieces and nephews, and they shared some wonderful memories together. They affectionately called him “The Big K.” He loved to take them to dinner on their birthdays. He played racquet ball with the older boys.
Kevin was half owner of AMP Systems, an industrial floor coating company.
His long time and closest friend was Sue Darling, who is a very caring and compassionate woman.
His hobbies were his dog, Roxi, and his salt water fish collection. He was an avid reader, and loved racquetball.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arvol and Lydia Allen, and W. Earl and Lucile Garr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
