Kevin Dean Flint

Syracuse - Kevin Dean Flint, 56, was called home Saturday, January 22, 2011 from natural causes.

He was born March 1, 1954 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Wilford and Elda Flint. Kevin married Joyce Tolman on April 19, 1974 in Roy, Utah. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Kevin worked for Layton City for 36 years. He held many church callings and especially enjoyed working with the youth and cub scouts. Kevin enjoyed camping, traveling, boating, car shows, working on his 67 Camaro, playing cards and most of all watching his grandchildren at their sports activities and dance recitals. Kevin was instantly everyone''s best friend.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Flint, of Syracuse, three daughters Jennifer (Tracy) Jensen, West Point; Brandy (Scott) Besaw, Clinton; Jamie (Blake) Child, Syracuse; four grandchildren, Braxton, Brock, Rylee Jensen, and Tawny Besaw; also two brothers, Kenneth (Jill) Flint, Layton and Keith (Maureen) Flint, Hooper.

Preceding Kevin in death were his parents and one brother, Ron Flint.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 9th Ward LDS Chapel, 1112 So. 1525 W., Syracuse. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
