Kevin Miya
Kevin Miya entered peacefully into rest at his Walnut Creek, CA home on Monday, February 25, 2008 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 37 years old.
Born October 9, 1970, Kevin graduated from Clearfield High School in 1988 and received his BS from U of U in 1994. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and after graduation, worked as a civil engineer for the City of Pittsburg, CA. Kevin had a lifelong passion for sports especially following the Cowboys, the Yankees, the Lakers and the Giants. He was dedicated to martial arts and was a 1st Don in Tae Kwon Doe. Above all, Kevin enjoyed being with his loved ones and living his life to the fullest. He was treasured by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Kevin is survived by his beloved parents, Yukio & Shigemi Miya; brothers, Renie Miya and Chris Miya; nephews, Tanner & Brian; niece, Stephanie, all of Clearfield, Utah; many cherished extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Pancreatica .org, 149 Bonafacio Place, Monterey, CA 93940 are preferred.
