Kevin David Stuart

Kevin David Stuart, 61, left us unexpectedly to join his heavenly father Sunday September 3, 2023, at his home in Layton. Kevin was born July 30, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ronald and Sharon Stuart. Kevin could always be counted on to lend a hand or make you smile.

 He had a warm, kind spirit so uniquely Kevin and was a shining light to everyone he met. Kevin defined the term beating the odds, born with a Brain Tumor as a small child not supposed to live past the age of 12. Even though he faced many challenges throughout his life he chose to live with love and compassion for everyone. Kevin never let anything stop him from doing the things he loved including earning a coveted black belt in taekwondo, remodeling his home, going on countless family fishing trips, singing karaoke with his friends at Bout’ time, and traveling, especially to Disneyland. He was a loyal employee of Walmart and cherished all the friends he made there.

Above all, Kevin loved spending time with family, especially taking time to visit with his nieces and nephews, son Savon, and his first grandchild Sammy, who he adored with his whole heart. Kevin found his lifelong friend and married Tonja-Rae Torrez in April of 2011. Tonja had a son Savon whom Kevin loved like his own, being a father was Kevin's biggest dream and he found so much joy in his new role. Savon would go on to get married and bless Kevin with his first and only grandchild Sammy.

Kevin is proceeded in death by his parents; Ronald and Sharon Stuart, and brothers; Michael and Darren Stuart. Kevin is survived by his former wife Tonja-Rae, Son Savon Torrez, granddaughter Sammy Torrez, brother Patrick and sister Ann Marie and beloved nieces and nephews.

Kevin will be remembered for his patience, kind smile, and the warmth he shared with everyone, strangers, and friends alike.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023^, at 3:00 p.m. at the Clearfield Community Church located at 525 E. 200 S. Clearfield, Utah.
