Kim Thompson

Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Kim G. Thompson, 51, passed away from GBT ( glioblastoma brain tumor), on Thursday, February 6, 2014.

He was born November 22, 1962 in Ogden, Utah to Grant and Esther Thompson. He was raised in West Point  and graduated from Clearfield High School.

Kim joined the U.S. Air Force in 1984 and served four years.

On November 12, 1982, Kim married Christine Smith in Ogden, Utah.

He worked for Ogden City for 24 years.  He made many friendships and was extremely well liked.

Kim enjoyed traveling with his wife, woodworking, ice fishing, watching M.A.S.H. and spending time with his grandkids.

He was always the one everyone would go to for help. He would gladly drop everything if needed, but he never asked for help or anything in return.

Kim is survived by his loving wife, Chris; daughters, Amber (Nate) Vowles, Heidi (Bryce) Putman, grandchildren, Blake (10), Caitlynn (7), Alexis (1), Easton (2 mo.), Madison (4), Makenzie (1) ; his parents, Grant and Esther Thompson, three sisters, Debbie (Wade) Stratford, Colleen (LaMont) Schofield, Beverly (Kurt) Sudweeks, and one brother, John (Joyce) Thompson.

We would like to thank Ogden City for their loving care and concern during this difficult time. We would also like to thank family and friends for all their support. We would like to thank the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Sean, Dr. Colman, Kylee and the Infusion staff. We would also like to thank the Cancer Center at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
