Kimberly Ann Waite

Kimberly Ann Waite passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015, peacefully at her home in South Ogden, Utah, following an 18 month battle with Stage 4 breast cancer. Kimberly was 53.
Kimberly was born on October 27, 1961 in Logan, Utah, first daughter of Albert Waite and LaDawn (Anderson) Waite. She spent her childhood briefly in Columbia, Missouri, then Warrensburg, Missouri, and spent the rest of her childhood in Farmington, New Mexico. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1980.
Kimberly graduated with Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Brigham Young University, followed by a Masters of Science in Geology at Brigham Young University. She has spent the last 17 years working in the Geology and Environmental Solutions industry. Her most recent position was a Senior Project Manager at CH2M Hill, where she had won several Employee of the Year awards at CH2M Hill, known for her dedication and team building skills.
Personally, she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and has served in many positions within the Church, including teaching children in Primary and Sunday School for many years in her congregation in California, and had served as a Receptionist at the San Diego LDS Temple.
Kimberly loved collecting rocks, all things related to owls, family history, and above all her love and devotion to her family and friends. Her unwavering faith in the Lord, and endless optimism was an inspiration to us all.
She was preceded in death by her mother, LaDawn (Anderson) Waite. She is survived by her father, Albert Waite of Farmington, New Mexico; by her sister, Elizabeth (Frank) Schumacher of Farmington, New Mexico; by her brother, Eric (Valerie) Waite of North Salt Lake, Utah; by her sister Kelly (Kenneth) Jung of Farmington, New Mexico; by her brother, Steve (Amber) Waite of Bloomfield, New Mexico; and by her brother, Sam (Shannon) Waite of Belfair, Washington; and Best Friend, Matt Campbell of Huntington Beach, California..
Friends may visit with family on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A private graveside service will be held later that day in Paradise, Utah.
