Kiyoko Sasaki Jackson

Kiyoko Sasaki Jackson - Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother (Granny) quietly passed away on June 6, 2017 in Garland, Utah.

She was born in Sapporo Hokkaido, Japan on May 8, 1930.  Kiyoko met her husband, Wayne, after WWII while he was working for the US Government in Japan.  They were married at the Noge Shinto Shrine, in Yokohama Japan on December 20, 1947.  They moved their young family to the United States in 1952.

Kiyoko was well loved by her many lifetime friends and her family who all have their special memories of her.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and cooking.  She was well known for her many talents.  She welcomed all new neighbors with a hot meal. She always cooked hot meals for the scouts, sewed countless outfits for her children and gardened with a green thumb.  She worked as a seamstress, waitress and helped her husband with their cleaning company.

Kiyoko is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, son Steven and two grandsons Mark and Stephen Stroud Conard.  She is survived by her husband of 69 years, two brothers, children Carolyn Jankeiv (Val), Yukie Conard (Bob), William (Ellen) and Betty Montgomery (Todd), sixteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and five great great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. , where friends may visit family from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Interment will be at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Wyoming that afternoon.
