Krista Ann Hathcock

August 18, 1986 — April 23, 2025

Krista Ann Hathcock passed away on April 23, 2025, at her home in Clearfield, Utah, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, deep devotion, and boundless love for her family. Krista was born on August 18, 1986, in Mesa, Arizona, to Charles Scott Hathcock and Jenny Lynn Strasburg.

She grew up in the Ogden, Utah area, where she graduated from Roy High School, and went on to dedicate 17 years of her life to working at Hill Air Force Base, specializing in the electrical maintenance of fighter jets. More recently, she pursued a new path, attending Davis Technical College to become a certified phlebotomist. She brought compassion and skill to her role at DaVita, where she worked closely with dialysis patients.

Above all else, Krista was a devoted mother to three incredible children: Kendall, Aiden, and Jameson. They were the light of her life and her proudest accomplishments. Anyone who spoke with Krista, even briefly, would quickly find the conversation turning to her children and their achievements—her love for them was truly radiant.

On September 21, 2019, Krista married Alonzo James Hopkin. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Clearfield, Utah. Along with the children, they filled their days with joyful adventures, always focused on making meaningful memories as a family.

Krista had a remarkable talent for home décor and enjoyed tending to a variety of vibrant houseplants and beautiful outdoor spaces that reflected her creativity and care.

Krista had a deep love for music. Whether she was singing along to her favorite songs, finding peace in familiar melodies, or introducing her children to artists she loved, music was a constant companion in her life. It brought her comfort, joy, and a sense of connection that ran deep within her soul.

Krista is survived by her beloved husband, Alonzo James Hopkin; her daughters, Kendall Dahle and Aiden Hathcock; her son, Jameson Scott Hopkin; her mother, Jenny Lynn Strasburg; her sister, Danielle Lynn Bowman; her brother, David Scott Hathcock; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Scott Hathcock, and her stepfather, David Strasburg.

Krista will be remembered for her selfless heart, her strength, the music she carried in her spirit, and the love she poured into every aspect of her life. Her memory will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply.
