Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our mom. Tina was born May 12, 1947, to Junius “Lee” Cardon and June Cruser Cardon. She was the oldest of three girls. She grew up in Sunset and graduated from Clearfield High School.

In 1965, she married Leland Bennett and together they had two daughters, Shauna and Terri. They later divorced. Tina met and married Gary Smith and with this union she became a stepmom to a bonus daughter, Shawnie. Two years later they welcomed a 4th daughter, Jodie. They later divorced.

Mom had several jobs and loved people. She enjoyed camping and fishing and was a championship pool player, often beating everyone at Stockman’s bar.

Tina is survived by her daughters, Shauna (Chris) Macke, Terri (Rex) Marks, Shawnie (Ed) Kimble, Jodie (John) Jensen and nine grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sleeping grandbabies, Stephanie and Drew.

We wish to thank her neighbors and friends, Jerry Wilkins and Blaine Loftus for always lending a helping hand when we needed one. Dr. Mark Milligan who not only was mom’s doctor for many years but also a great friend to her. An unmeasurable thank you to Angela Sharp who helped care for our mom for the last few years. She showed compassion and love to our mom. You are so special to us and mom loved you so much! We couldn’t have asked for a better friend – we couldn’t have done it without you! Lastly, we would like to thank the Enhabit Hospice Team for all of your support, her nurse, Jenn Mendes, Miller Atagi and Chaplain Kim Schmidt, the staff at Crestwood Care Center for taking such great care of mom, especially Kree Arias and nurse Christina Roberts. Thank you for making our decision easier to make.

As per mom’s request, there will be no formal services.
