Kristine Boothe Tesch

September 24, 1943 ~ April 13, 2014

WASHINGTON TERRACE – Kristine Boothe Tesch, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the age of 70 after a valiant battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

She was born on September 24, 1943 to Wayne Tolman and Leila Adams Boothe.  She was the second of three children and the only girl to be born to Wayne and Leila.  She graduated from Ben Lomond High School and Weber State College as a member of Lambda Delta Sigma.  Then she married her eternal companion, Danny Lee Tesch, in the Logan LDS Temple on August 12, 1965.  She always said that her greatest accomplishment was raising four boys who all received their Eagle Scout Award, served honorable missions, and married in the temple.  Her family will always cherish the memories of annual camping trips to Flaming Gorge and Bear Lake.

Kristine was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dutifully served in the Relief Society, Scouting, Young Women, and Primary in the Washington Terrace 6 th Ward.  She also served as ward organist and historian.  More recently she served as a missionary at the Salt Lake Family History Library.  Her life served as an example of Christ-like love for everyone.

She also touched the lives of many students as a business teacher at Weber High School in Ogden and Burlington High in Wyoming. When her youngest child entered junior high, she went back to college for a year and earned an elementary teaching degree.  She then taught 1 st and 3 rd grade at Vae View Elementary in Layton, Utah until she retired – students loved her because she loved them.

Kristine is survived by her eternal companion, Dan; sons, Wayne (Valerie) of Roy; Bryan (Becky) of Clinton; Gordon (Michelle) of Washington Terrace; and Scott (Rachel) of Hooper; brothers, Richard (Ronnie) of San Antonio, TX; and Dave (DonnaLu) of Uintah; and 14 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Tolman Boothe and Leila Adams Boothe.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 6 th Ward Chapel, 4760 South 200 East.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.

We would like to express heartfelt thanks for the love, devotion, and care provided by RN Haley, RN Trisha, Debbie, Nicole, Rachel, and staff from Hospice for Utah.  We are especially grateful for our Dad’s unwavering loyalty and faithful care of the “love of his life” throughout her seven year illness.
