Kurt William Cochran
September 9, 1962 - March 22, 2017
Kurt William Cochran of West Bountiful Utah passed away Wednesday March 22,
2017 from injuries sustained in the London Terror attacks on the Westminster
Bridge. He was 54 years old. Kurt was born on September 9, 1962 to the late
Harry and Iva Cochran in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Kurt was a 1980 graduate of Fort Hill High School in Cumberland MD. Kurt
moved to Texas and ultimately back to Utah where he fell in love with his wife
Melissa Payne Cochran. They were married for 25 years and were celebrating
their anniversary in Europe. Kurt was devoted to Melissa and his two children,
Tylor and Dallas Cochran.
Kurt’s lifelong dream was to have a Recording Studio. He was able to see his
dream come to fruition, by creating Onion Street Studio with Melissa, and two of
his many best friends, Bret Layton and Michael Payne. Kurt loved music with an
amazing passion and loved helping others record their Masterpieces.
Kurt was the fun guy. He was always smiling and had a special way about him
that made everyone at ease. His infectious laugh drew everyone to him and
everyone who met Kurt had a lifelong friend. He loved kids and they loved him
too. He was the proud uncle of 26 nieces and nephews whom he loved so dearly.
He is survived by his wife Melissa, sons Tylor Cochran (DeAnne), Dallas Cochran
(Cheyenne Peck), Siblings; Sandy Cochran Murphy (Larry), Kelly Cochran, Mitch
Cochran (Tonya).
In lieu of traditional funeral services we are Celebrating Kurt’s life with a Memorial
Concert in the Park. Saturday June 24, 2017, 11:00 a.m.to 8:00 p.m., Bountiful City
Park, Bountiful, Utah.
