Kurt Douglas Teeter passed away November 8, 2024 just one day before his 63rd birthday. Kurt was born November 9, 1961 in Burley Idaho to Ray Warren Teeter and Darlene Davis Teeter and three other siblings including Wynn, Kim and Charlene. He grew up in Ogden Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School class of 1980.
Kurt married Lisa Barker and they were blessed with daughter Heidi and son Bryan. Heidi and husband Josh Strickland have two wonderful children Boston and Olivia.
Kurt later enlisted in the Air Force where he travelled and spent 25 years of his career overseas. His exemplary service was evident in the many accomplishments and awards he received while in service but none more profound than the love he found with Jennifer while serving in Okinawa Japan. They later married and welcomed their beautiful baby daughter Kylie in 2008. Kylie and Kurt shared a special bond, often taking long car rides filled with laughter, conversation, and shared solutions to the world’s problems. Whether hitting golf balls, playing board games, or sharing their mutual love of food, their time together was a testament to Kurt’s deep devotion as a father. Known for his warm and outgoing nature, Kurt never met a stranger. His love for people and vibrant personality could be heard from blocks away, often accompanied by the music of his favorite band, Linkin Park. His joy in connecting with others was one of his defining characteristics.
The Teeter family wishes to thank the friends and family who have been there to help and continue to love and support them throughout this difficult time.
