Kyle Lee Gerber

December 22, 1976 ~ June 6, 2018

To quote one of his friends, Ogden lost some of its sparkle on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 when Kyle Lee Gerber, age 41, chose to leave this world behind.

Kyle was born in Ogden on December 22, 1976, to John A. and Carol J. (Price) Gerber.  He attended Ben Lomond and OWATC, was an electrical contractor and owned his own business, Adventure Electric. His most important accomplishments were his two sons, Brady and Riley, and he loved living life to its fullest with them, whether they were camping, fishing, four-wheeling or kayaking with their dog, Izzy. Kyle was an avid (and crazy!) runner and proud member of the Ogden Pub Runners. He also served on the Board for GOAL Foundation and Youth Futures. With his larger than life personality, Kyle lit up a room when he entered it, and he was always ready to cheer someone up with his quirky sense of humor. He loved helping others, always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone, whether he knew them or not.

He is survived by his two sons; his parents; eight siblings, Jeanie (Tom) Neiswanger, Lissa Cook, Alan (Jayna) Gerber, Maresha (Brett Birt) Bosgieter, Cami (Brian) Myers, Susi (Quinten Dimick) Gerber, Ahmi (Cody) Hidalgo, and Rachelle (Eric) Lopes; and 19 nieces and nephews.

Anyone who knew Kyle knows he hated anything stuffy and formal and was all about fun, so we will be holding a Celebration of his life at the home of his close friend, Melody Konecny, 5027 W. 3000 S. in Ogden on Friday, June 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  Please come share your favorite memory or story about Kyle with us. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, you can contribute to www.gofundme.com/kyle-gerber to help with burial expenses and taking care of his sons, or just go for a run, drink a beer or do a good deed.
