Kyle Andrew Moon
August 22, 1986 ~ January 24, 2009
Our brave knight in shining armor returned to his Father in Heaven with his loving parents at his side on Saturday, January 24, 2009.
Kyle was born August 22, 1986 in Bountiful, Utah to William and Susan Moon. He graduated from Northridge High School in 2005. He was a member of the Northridge Jr. ROTC where he was awarded both the Purple Heart and National Sojourners Medals. Kyle then went onto complete the (STEPS) program, Students Transitioning for Educational and Personal Success and worked in the community at Shopko and Winegar’s. Kyle’s favorite time besides holidays became June as that meant it was time for Muscular Dystrophy Summer Camp. Kyle loved the dancing, the cheering and all the wonderful fun with friends at camp. There were no worries and you could be yourself.
He was a big NASCAR fan and made his room at home into a collection of NASCARS rare hotwheels, Harley motorcycles, monster trucks, military planes, autographed pictures from race car drivers, Utah Jazz players and pro football players. We of course can’t leave out the many sophisticated Legos constructed by himself and with the help from good friends and family members. Kyle and his dad named his room as the Museum of Kyle’s Collectables, marked by a sign made by a special uncle.
Kyle touched the hearts of all those he met. He could always find the right words to make someones day. His words of comfort and care will always remain very near and dear to all of his family and friends.
Kyle is survived by his parents William and Susan Moon, Clearfield, UT; his Maw Maw Sue Neal, Pleasant View, UT; and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.
We would like to thank Primary Children’s, Shriner’s Hospital, the Muscular Dystrophy Asso., Dr. Justin Alvey and Dr. James Fennell, along with their staff members for helping us provide the best of care for Kyle.
Also we would like to thank the Vista Care Hospice staff for all their compassion and care especially Marie, Kyle’s consistant nurse who he waited for each week to share conversation and special times. She was truly an angel set to make our roe a little easier to hoe.
A tribute to Kyle’s life will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Kyle to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. 4578 South Highland Dr. #300 Salt Lake City, Utah 84117.
