Kyle Thomas Shafer, 22, passed away unexpectedly in Colorado Springs, CO on January 23, 2025. He was born on January 30, 2002 in Utah to Hilary Hazen and Brian Shafer.
He attended high school in Utah where he graduated from Roy High school with high honors.
Kyle will be remembered as someone who was very reliable and always willing to help. He never missed a day of work. When something was asked of him, he followed through, always keeping his word. Kyle was a natural when it came to any activity or sport he tried. He was a creative soul. He always put much effort into his drawings whether it was pen on paper, video editing, or photography. Kyle always enjoyed getting out of the house and out into nature. He loved to explore and never turned down an opportunity to hike. He was also content watching anime, listening to music or playing video games. He was a very quiet person until he got to know the people, then we would all get a humorous and witty comment.
Kyle is survived by his father, Brian Shafer and his step-mother Jennifer; his mother Hilary Hazen and step-father Adam Carver; his siblings Eric Shafer (Lynn), Kevin Shafer (Ashley), Courtnee Shafer (Jordan), step-siblings Andreas Carver and Arianna Childs (Zach).
A Celebration of Kyle's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10 am until 12 pm in the Community Room at the Lindquist Office Building, 3434 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
