Kyle Stanley Stoker

Kyle Stanley Stoker, 61, returned to his Heavenly Father Saturday, February 11, 2023, due to unexpected medical complications. He was born March 11, 1961, to Karl Sherman and Ida Mae Underwood Stoker. Kyle was raised in Clearfield, Utah, later moved to Ogden Canyon, and graduated from Weber High School. 

Kyle married Julayne Maw on February 15, 1979, in Plain City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful, Utah, Temple on their 23^rd Wedding Anniversary.

His employment included working for Arrow Development Company as a fitter welder, building roller coasters for amusement parks; for Big D Construction as a building erector; with his father running Stoker Car Wash; and finally pursuing his dream of starting his own trucking company, Stoker Trucking, which is now run by his son Nathan Stoker, with 22 years of dedicated service.

Kyle was passionate about spending time with his family camping, water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and fishing. He enjoyed helping his neighbors and operating his backhoe, “The Grave Digger.” He could often be found working on vehicles and building or repairing his homes, always with his devoted sidekick, Julayne.

Kyle is survived by his loving wife, Julayne Maw Stoker; three children, Nathan (Alicia) Stoker, Nikael Stoker Choules, and Neriece Stoker; six grandchildren, Kamyn and Kenya Stoker, Kylee and Shyla Choules, Julayne and Julyenne Stoker; and two sisters, Kathy Stoker and Robin Heslop. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Stoker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Plain City 2^nd Ward Chapel, 2952 North 4200 West. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
