Kyoko “Kay” Openshaw

January 12, 1938 – December 9, 2017 (age 79)

Kay was born on January 12, 1938.  She married James “Jim” F. Openshaw in 1963 in Japan and later moved to the United States where she had two sons, Jerry “Opie” Dwayne and Gary Allen.  Kay was a loving wife and mother, doting on her boys at all times.  Kay was blessed with twin granddaughters, Savannah and Sierra.  The three were inseparable, especially when at the mall.  Kay enjoyed traveling, shopping, dining out, playing music, and weekend trips to Wendover.

Kay was preceded in death by her two sons and her husband.  She has now reunited with her family.  Kay is survived by her granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held Saturdy December 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.  Friends may visit with family from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.

In lieu of flowers, there will be an account set up at America First Credit Union for donations towards her music group, Okinawa Folk Song Group.
