La Moine “Granny” Petterborg Crawley, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Heritage Park Care Center.
She was born August 27, 1936 in Logan, Utah to Lee Arnold and Edna Matilda Sorenson Petterborg. She was educated in Richmond and then Layton, graduating from Davis High School in 1954.
On August 13, 1955, La Moine married Evan Fredrick Crawley in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
She was a member of the Monte Vista LDS Ward and the Utah Daughters of Pioneers.
La Moine was a huge Beatle’s fan. She enjoyed many different crafts, oil painting, sewing, and scrapbooking. She also enjoyed teddy bears and dolls. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
La Moine is survived by her daughter, Kevan Jensen, 26 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary (Marion) Cox and Norine Fry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Pete, two sons, Lynn and Mark, a son-in-law, Rod, a daughter-in-law, Sheryl and a brother-in-law, Keith Fry.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 12th at 11 a.m. at the Roy 28th Ward Chapel, 3345 West 5200 South.
The family will meet friends for a viewing on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the church.
