Laaryssa Sinclaire

Laaryssa Karringten-Sinclaire, 72, of Eden, Utah passed away on March 24, 2015. She was born on July 14, 1942, in London, England.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in German and English from Weber State University and a Master of Science degree in English from Utah State University. She was fluent in German, French, and Japanese.
Laaryssa retired from civil service in the spring of 2014. While working as the Assistant to the Air National Guard Advisor she was a recipient of the Air National Guard Minute Man Award. Later Laaryssa worked as a program manager, responsible for the C-130 landing gear. She received a Notable Achievement Award for the initiation and implementation for acquisition of an improved brake and wheel for this aircraft. Laaryssa received certifications for Life Cycle Logistics and Program Management.
Laaryssa was quite the world traveler, having traveled to: Japan, Hawaii, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, India, Holland, and Scotland.
Laaryssa enjoyed living in Eden amongst her friends and neighbors. She loved to read, cooking, working in her garden, and entertaining her friends. She had two wonderful pets, her cat, Marmalade and beloved Kuji, a delightful Shih Tzu. Laaryssa is survived by all who came to know and love her.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may gather on Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
