LaDell Hess Manning
FARMINGTON a" LaDell Hess Manning, age 81 passed through the veil peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
She was the second daughter of George Lloyd Hess and Sarah Ruth Turner Hess. She was born February 28, 1932 in the family home in Farmington, Utah and was blessed to live her entire life in this beloved community. She was a graduate of Davis High School in 1950.
She married Harold E. (Short) Manning on August 29, 1950 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They were blessed with two children, Hal and Shauna.
In her early years, she worked for Security Title Company of Farmington and Lagoon Amusement Park. She later worked part-time at the Davis County Recorder''s Office from 1968 to 1993.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings in the Primary and Relief Society. Her fondest years of church service were spent serving as Primary Secretary in the Davis Stake. She and her husband served a mission at the LDS Employment Center of Bountiful.
LaDell was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Always waiting upon her family. She always extended her love with a warm smile. She exemplified her love for the Savior through her quite acts of service, patience and kindness. She truly was a gift to her family and friends.
LaDell is survived by her husband of 63 years plus eternity, Harold; son, Hal H. Manning; daughter, Shauna M. (Anthony) Martin; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlene H. Rampton, Joyce H. Buhler and LoyDeen H. Howell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 N. Main, Farmington, UT. Friends may visit with family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, Kaysville and Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Temple Patron Fund.
