LAYTON a€" Elda Lahoma Lamb Lindeman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah. She was born August 3, 1918 at Chandler, Arizona to Earl Stanley Lamb and Elmina Stevens. Lahoma was the oldest of four children.

Lahoma spent her childhood in Chandler, Arizona; Santa Monica, California and Blanding, Utah. She finished her last year of high school in Santa Monica. When she was taking a genealogy class, she met Paul R. Lindeman. They got acquainted and were married October 4, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lahoma and Paul devoted their lives to doing genealogy research.

Paul and Lahoma moved to Layton, Utah in 1941. From this marriage came nine children, all boys. They raised their family in the Layton area where they had many lasting friendships.

Lahoma had the opportunity to study music and singing. She was a good musician and used her talent to teach her children and serve in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in ward and stake Relief Society positions. She was a seamstress and homemaker. She was employed for a short time by the new East Layton City. Lahoma and Paul served three missions in the LDS Temples of London, England; Lima, Peru; and Manila, Philippines. Her husband Paul passed away January 5, 1996.

She is survived by eight of her nine sons and their wives: Russell and Diana, Edward and Venita, Brian (deceased) and Liz, Wayne and Kaaren, Eldon and Pat, Mark and Dianne, Carl and Barbara, Clyde and Caroline, Kelvin and Kathryn, 38 grandchildren and more than 80 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Viora and sister-in-law Ila. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her son, Brian and her brothers, Stanley and Doyle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
