LAYTON – Laila Dawn Rigby born April 24, 2013, went home to our Heavenly Father on March 10, 2014.  We had the privilege of having this choice spirit in our lives.  Although it was only 11 short months she was with us, this is what she taught us.  No matter what kind of adversity and trial she faced, she did it with a smile.   Her powerful spirit and eyes spoke volumes of love and peace.  She had her mom’s sass of determination and attitude, and her daddy’s long eyelashes and full kissable lips!

Laila’s life was full of miracles with unseen hands guiding each delicate step she encountered.  Laila radiated love and she attracted many to her bedside. She fought a good fight, but her journey has not ended.  In order to continue her eternal progression, she took the path that only her spirit could take.

Laila leaves behind her mom and dad, Lance and Blair, grandparents Gary and Judy Rigby, Mike and Babe Smedley, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 12:30 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

We would like to thank all family and friends for all of their love, support and sacrifice in behalf of our family.  We would also like to thank those guiding hands at PCMC.
