LaMar Delbert Hathaway
LAYTON a" LaMar Delbert Hathaway, loving father and husband, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 to rejoin his longtime love Myrna Lou Hyde Hathaway, with his daughter Marla and his son Vondel by his side.
LaMar was born August 29, 1930 in Chester, Idaho to Delbert Earl Hathaway and Claudia Margaret May. He grew up and gained a love for farming and gardening and as a young man joined the Idaho Army National Guard and honorably served in the Korean War. LaMar made friends easily. Everybody who knew him knew of his great love for his friends and family. LaMar has always been a hard worker even in his retirement. He was always on the go. In the summers he enjoyed planting his flowers and vegetables and in the winter he really enjoyed putting up his Christmas lights and doing puzzles.
LaMar is survived by four brothers and one sister, five children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his loving wife.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
