LaMar “Johnny” Johnston 1928 – 2008 RIVERDALE – LaMar Willard “Johnny” Johnston, 80, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his home in Riverdale. He was born March 5, 1928 in West Point, Utah, to John Therald and Afton Page Johnston. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1945. Johnny married Gwendolyn Hansen on November 11, 1946. They had four children, Justine “Tina”, Michael (deceased), Kathleen “Kathy” and Kenneth “Kenny”. They were later divorced. Johnny married E. Janet Taylor Huntington on June 27, 1963. They had one son, John Willard “Johnny” Johnston. Janet passed away on February 14, 2004. Johnny married Julia “Julie” Jacobson on May 20, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Julie, of Riverdale; his children, Justine “Tina”, Kathleen “Kathy”, Kenneth “Kenny”, John “Johnny”; stepchildren, Janetta Burnett, Jill Huntington, DuWayne “Rick” Davila, Penny Coy, Mike King, Debra Price, and Bonnie Liddell as well as their spouses; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also had several adopted children that he helped raise through the years. Johnny will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, West Point Cemetery.
