Our loving father Lamont V. Beckstead officially got his wings in the early morning of Tuesday February 7, 2023.
He was born in Ogden, Utah to Virgil and Lucille Beckstead on October 3, 1937.
Lamont met LuDeen and fell in love immediately. They married in Carson City, Nevada on May 10, 1957. They shared 65 wonderful years of marriage and enjoyed every adventure together.
Lamont served in the United States Air Force as a Medical Helper and was very proud to be a Veteran.
He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Civil Engineer and retired many years later.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, reloading, metal detecting, prospecting and was also a certified auto mechanic.
He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them, he was very much loved in return. He will be greatly missed.
Lamont is survived by the love of his life, his wife LuDeen. His children, Doyle (Brenda) Beckstead, Darwin Beckstead, Chris (Mary Huffman) Beckstead and Debbie (Rick) Draper. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and his sister Diane (Danny) Sifuentes, and sister-in-law Christine Beckstead.
Lamont was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dale Beckstead and Dennis Beckstead
Graveside services will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
