Lana Emery

Our loving wife, mother, and grandma, Lana Hall Emery, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family on February 12, 2016. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on June 7, 1942 and was the youngest of three children to Ray and Carolyn Hall. She was raised in Jarbalo, Kansas until the age of 10, then moved to Farmington, Utah and graduated from Davis High School in 1960 where she had a lifelong friendship with her “Davis Darlings.” She met and married her sweetheart, Henry (Hank) Emery in 1961. Lana was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held many positions.

Her life was centered around her family and supporting them in their many activities and athletic events. You could always count on her being there. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband Hank. Her children looked forward to and treasured her late night talks, laughs, and life advice. She was considered by many friends, a second mother for the way she treated them. She was known for her quick smile and long chats wherever she went.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Hank; their children: Jeff and Barbra Emery (Fruit Heights, Allyson and Todd Van Brocklin (Fruit Heights), Annette and Jeff Schofield, (Spanish Fork), Bryan and Jana Emery (Kaysville), Kathie and Brian Garlock (Farmington), Greg and Heather Emery (Kaysville); siblings, Wayne Hall (brother), Shirley Stahle (sister), and 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Ray and Carolyn Hall.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 25 S. 200 East. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
