Lance Cole Bunting, 47, passed away in his West Point home on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Lance was born May 23, 1971 in Ogden, Utah to Mary B. Chavez and Theodore E. Bunting. Lance graduated from Layton High School in 1989.

He worked at Lomond Peak Rehabilitation Center and was a very resourceful Jack-of-all trades, mechanically inclined man.

Lance was an avid golfer, surfer, fisherman and outdoors man.

Lance was a beloved father, brother, son and friend. He is survived by four children, two grandchildren, his mother and brothers. He was previously married to Christy Baca and they had two children, Kyona Bunting and Keanne Bunting, as well as former partner, Kimi Puls and her children whom he raised, McKenna Kopecky and Kelby Kopecky, his grandchildren Kaydin Bunting and Princeton, sons of Kyona Bunting and Devin Quinn; they were his pride and joy, being a grandpa meant so much to him.  He leaves behind his siblings, Michael D. Bunting (Donnell), Paul A. Bunting (Ann Marie), Jamie L. Suiter and Charles D. Crossen. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Irene Hugh Bunting, Welbourne A. and Lillian Wright, grandparents, Billy H. and Sarah J. Bunting and dad, Ted E. Bunting.

Lance was a man of hard work. His dedication to his family, loved ones and friends was incredible. He always showed his true heart and kindness openly. He was the greatest father and family member any person could ask for. He was loved by his aunts, uncles, many cousins and Uncle Bob and Billy Bunting. He loved his family very much and was always happy to see everyone at family gatherings. He left behind very dear friends, Don Lee Wagner and Becca Fuchs. Lance will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
