Lance R. Wardle
SOUTH OGDEN – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Lance R. Wardle was called home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. He passed away in the loving arms of his wife surrounded by his children.
He was born August 15, 1938 to Rulan D. and Noma R. Wardle.
Lance married his wife and soul mate, Beth Kimball, on August 15, 1970.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Burch Creek 4th Ward.
Lance retired from the Ogden Standard Examiner after 42 years of service.
He was past president of the F.O.E., and loved family gatherings, camping and riding his A.T.V.
Surviving are his wife and children, Noma K. (Curtis), Keven (Brenda), Kelly, Nonnie, Kim, Jodie and Tonya (Kent); 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Garth and Tom.
Preceding Lance in death were his parents, one granddaughter, Nikki and son-in-law, Robert Mayo.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
In lieu of flowers a fund has been established at Golden West Credit Union to help offset funeral expenses.
