Lane D. Loftus

Lane D. Loftus CLEARFIELD – Lane Dean Loftus, 55, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 following a brief illness. Lane was born March 22, 1953 in Ogden, the third of seven children of Lorin Dean “Bud” and Lou Jean Wayment Loftus. Lane attended Clearfield High School graduating with the class of 1971. Lane worked for several years at Stevens, assembling, repairing and testing boats. After Steven’s went out of business, he worked for Utility Trailer in Clearfield. Lane is survived by his mother, Lou Jean Loftus, siblings, Kent (Mary) Loftus, Janet (Richard) Day, Annette (Allen) Chatelain, Tamara (Kenny) Bircumshaw, Scott (Carrie) Loftus, Sherry (Mike) Nance, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lorin “Bud” Loftus, one nephew, Ryan Loftus, his grandparents on both sides of the family, and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 9th Ward Chapel, 838 East 600 South.
