Lane O’Keefe, 23, passed away in his sleep on February 2, 2018, after losing his battle with addiction.  He was born Jan 13, 1995 in Layton, Utah to Steven and Melissa O’Keefe.

Lane was a cheerful and always happy as a child.  He had the biggest imagination I had ever seen, he could transfer himself to be in place he could only see.  He was a brother who could be a bully but turn around and be a protector and best friend.

Lane had the gift of gab to his family and friends.  You learned about every job and what he did.  He would talk your head off and drive you crazy about his adventures with his friends.  Lane loved to watch the Seattle Seahawks, play on his video game and dreaming about what fast car he would own.

He acted tough on the outside, but those who truly knew Lane, knew he had a soft big heart.

He loved his family and friends deeply.  His goofy grin and funny faces will truly be missed by all.

Lane is survived by his mother and step-father Melissa  and Jon Thornley, father Steven O’Keefe, sisters; Ariel O’Keefe and Ally Thornley, brothers; Connor O’Keefe and Nick Thornley, grandparents Terry and Sandy Blashill and Judy O’Keefe, aunts, uncles, cousins and by many friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather Donald O’Keefe and Grandmother Erlene Thronley.

Friends may visit with family Friday February 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield  Rd.  Layton, Utah.
