Lanetha B. Pierce
ROY – Lanetha B. Pierce, 85, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at her home of diabetic shock.
She was born February 3, 1922 in Clearfield, a daughter of Orville J. and Nellie Francis Frasier Bambrough.
On February 4, 1944, Lanetha married Everett H. Pierce in Salt Lake City. Everett preceded her in death.
She lived in Riverdale from 1922 to 1944 and was a graduate of Weber High School. She lived in Roy from 1944 until her death.
Lanetha was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roy 4th Ward. She was active in the Relief Society and as a Visiting Teacher.
She was a member of the Weber State University Wildcat Club and enjoyed attending WSU basketball games. She enjoyed attending the horse races and working in her yard and garden. Lanetha was very active with the Roy Kiwanis In-service and the Weber Homebuilders Association with her husband.
Surviving are her brother, Rulon F. Bambrough, Midvale, UT; two nephews and three nieces.
Lanetha was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Pierce; parents Orville J. and Nellie F. Bambrough; and two brothers, Lewis O. and Ivan J. Bambrough.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Brent McGregor of the Roy 4th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
