LaRae Myrtle Martin Adams

LaRae Myrtle Martin Adams, our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 74, passed away on December 21, 2012.

She was born on January 2, 1938 in Ogden, a daughter to Velda Myrtle Kendall and Ernest James Martin. She was raised in the Layton area, attending Layton High School. She later spent time in Idaho and Wyoming and eventually settled in Harrisville where she lived for 24 years.

In 1955, LaRae married James Melvin Adams and together they had three sons and one daughter.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Harrisville 1st Ward and loved going to the Ogden and Logan Temples. She enjoyed the outdoors, particularly camping, and also liked cooking and games, especially puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids more than anything else and loved her family dearly.

LaRae is survived by her sons, Steven (Stephanie) Adams of Plain City, Brian (Peggy) Adams of Ogden, and Kevin (Joyce) Adams of Evanston, WY; daughter, Tanna Perry of Huntsville; brothers, Howard, Vern, Don, Dell, and Robert Martin; sister, Dora Jeppsen; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jonny and Gary; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harrisville 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 435 West Harrisville Road. Family will meet with friends on Thursday, December 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., and Friday before the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
