PLAIN CITY a€" LaRae B. Cook, 80, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Heritage Park Care Center.

She was born September 9, 1929 in Ogden, a daughter of Marlon H. and Stella Barker Berrett.

On June 30, 1948, LaRae married Dee Cook in the Logan LDS Temple. Dee preceded her in death in 2005.

She grew up in North Ogden graduating from Weber High School. She was a long time resident of Plain City.

LaRae was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in various callings.

She worked at the main branch of First Security Bank for 15 years as a teller, along with being a loving mother and homemaker.

LaRae always supported her children and grandchildren; was an avid Utah Jazz fan; and enjoyed spending time with her husband doing various activities.

Surviving are three children, Chris (Johnn) Engberson, Scott (Marilyn) Cook and Michael Cook, all of Plain City; seven grandchildren, Stacey, Jeremy, Shane, Amy, Ashlee, Casey and Aidan and seven great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Wilbur Berrett and Val (Julie) Berrett, both of North Ogden; three sisters, Pearl Blanch, Plain City; Belva (Dick) Phipps and Theo (Dale) Chatelain, both of North Ogden; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Cook and brother-in-law, George (Charlene) Cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Heritage Park Care Center for their loving care, and also special thanks to Karla Ward.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City 7th Ward Chapel, 2952 North 4200 West, with Bishop Judd Cook officiating.

Family will visit with friends at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
