LaRee Anne Rocco

LaRee Anne Rocco LAYTON – LaRee Anne Rocco, 58, of Layton, UT passed away surrounded by loving family and friends on Saturday, December 27, 2008. She fought a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. LaRee was born in Ogden, UT to Joseph and Elizabeth Hanzlik. She grew up in Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School in 1968. In 1971 she married William Ray Rocco and they had two daughters. They later divorced. LaRee worked at IRS then transferred to Hill Air Force Base in 1980 where she worked until her retirement in March of 2006. There she made many friends two of which were very special Trudy Helton and Verlean Unsworth. LaRee attended the Rosewood Ward in Layton, UT. LaRee is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, one brother and one nephew. She is survived by her two daughters: Trish (Mike) Eggett and Judy Beecher both of Layton, UT; four grandchildren who were the light of her life: Rylee, Zak, Alexis and Peyton. She is also survived by three sisters: Susan Giles, Evanston, WY; Sheryl (Ken) Lendall, Roy; Rhonda Nelson, Evanston, WY and one brother: Dale (Penny) Hanzlik, Harrisville; many wonderful nieces and nephews, and a very special sister-in-law, Margaret (Kevin) Thompson, Syracuse. The family would also like to give a very special thank you to Dr. Carl Gray and his nursing staff. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
