LaRee Taylor Roberts Hunt Rock

April 25, 1947 ~ May 30, 2020

LaRee Taylor Roberts Hunt Rock passed away on May 30, 2020. She was born on April 25, 1947 in the Afton Hospital in Wyoming, to her parents Frank and Marjorie Roberts. She was raised and grew up on a dairy farm in Thayne, Wyoming for the first 18 years of her life. She then lived in Idaho Falls, ID for 21 years before moving Ogden, UT in 1986 until her death.

LaRee received her Cosmetology License in 1966 and had it until this year. Her first job was a  cosmetologist, second was for Avon in Idaho Falls, third was for Boise Cascade in Idaho Falls, and then at Slusher’s Wholesale in Idaho Falls. She then went to school for about two and half years in Quality Assurance and went to work for Martin Thiokol in Utah where she x-rayed the space buster for the space shuttle. LaRee went back to school to be a Drug Tech, but because of her health she was unable to finish.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 32 years and loved serving as a church librarian. She enjoyed being around people that she loved and cared for. She also enjoyed serving as a Family History Missionary for the Church and researching her family members. LaRee also served as a Bishop Storehouse Missionary and enjoyed working and helping people out the best she could. She was also a member of the Eagles’ for six years.

LaRee enjoyed going dancing. She loved doing arts and crafts whether it was ceramics, beading earrings, necklaces and bracelets, upholstering anything she could or at least would try to; she was incredibly talented.  She had a green thumb and enjoyed spending hours in her flower beds and garden. Larry and LaRee Hunt enjoyed camping especially at the Riverside Campground in Island Park, Idaho. LaRee enjoyed traveling and seeing scenery, but especially enjoyed visiting her family and friends; Missouri to see her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, Arizona during the wintertime, Mexico to see the beautiful scenery, and of course Idaho to see her daughter, sisters, and brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 22nd Ward, 950 E 2850 N.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
