Our beautiful and loving mother, LaRee Clifford Young, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 due to complications of COPD. She fought a long and courageous battle. She embraced God''s open arms surrounded by her loving family. Mom waited 12 long years to reunite with the love of her life, her soul mate, Eldon. We know Dad was there to greet her with his favorite term of endearment, "Hello, my love, welcome home."

Mom was born April 8, 1932 in Millville, Utah to Earl and Mabel Toombs Clifford. The family later moved to Logan where she attended school.

She met Dad on a blind date. It has been said that he thought, "It was love at first sight!" They married on August 17, 1949 in Logan, Utah and together raised four children, Russell (Mary) Young, Debbie (Marcus) Mendez, Shar (Richard) Malan and Dwayne Young. They have nine grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

A sister, Velda (Lew) Sadler and two half sisters, Linda Evans and Ruth Lopez survive Mom.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, a grandson, Jason, one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
