Larry Lee Everts

Larry Lee Everts August 13, 1939 to August 12, 2012 Larry Everts passed away at home after a hard fought valiant battle with cancer on August 12, 2012. Being born on August 13, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, he almost made it to his 73rd birthday. Larry endured this trial with an optimistic attitude that amazed all around him. Larry was the son of Clarence and Elma Everts. Larry followed in his father’s footsteps as a proud iron worker. Both of Larry’s sons are also iron workers and had the opportunity to work side by side with their dad. Larry worked at Fieldcrest Cabinets for several years working with wood and made many family treasures. He married Janice Golden on June 28, 1957 in Ogden, Utah. They had four children, Pamala Kim Johnson of Arizona, Cory Lee (Rex) O’Rear of Texas, Kirk Golden (Tammy) Everts of Illinois, and Kyle Larry (Lori) Everts of Illinois, 12 grandchildren, Gina, David, Tammy, Phillip, Angela, Scott, Geneva, Larry, Tony, Darian, Austin and Keith (deceased), and 18 great-grandchildren. In his later years, Larry moved home to take care of his aging mother and spent 15 years caring for her. He also cared for his wife as she struggled with Cancer. Larry is survived by his children and 2 brothers, Richard (Dixie) Brooks of Ogden, Timothy (Karen) Everts of Minnesota and 2 sisters, Carol May and Holly Hunter of Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his grandson, Keith. Larry has chosen to have no funeral services. A Graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice for their diligence in caring for Larry. His special caretakers were Dr. D., Jennifer, Marie, Ken and Alan. They let him die in dignity, the way he chose.
