Larry K. Hartwell

February 11, 1937 ~ February 24, 2016

Larry K. Hartwell, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.  He was born on February 11, 1937 in Burley, Idaho, the son of Keith L. and Gwen Lessey Hartwell.  In 1943, the family moved to Washington Terrace, Utah, and Larry graduated from Weber High School.

He married Rosalee Olsen on December 3, 1959 in Brigham City, Utah.  They later divorced.  On June 2, 1984, Larry married Brenda Riddlesworth Folsom.  Brenda passed away on August 2, 2003.

Larry worked as an Electronics Instructor at HAFB for over 30 years.  He also taught at Weber State University and at Weber ATC.

He loved to read, travel with his wife, Brenda, play cards, and especially spend time with his family. When Larry was younger he enjoyed camping and hunting.

Larry is survived by his son, Jay L. Hartwell; daughter, JoLynn Hartwell Romulus; three grandchildren, brother, Jim Hartwell; and sister, Judy Forsgren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda and parents. 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
