Larry Dee Parkinson

December 26, 1952 ~ October 15, 2019

Larry Dee Parkinson returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. He was surrounded by family and friends that love and care for him deeply. Larry was born on December 26, 1952 along with his twin brother Gary Lee to Harold Dale and Jesse Bouwhuis Parkinson. Larry, along with his twin brother Gary, were born prematurely and suffered developmental disabilities. They faced many challenges, but were very helpful with farm duties and milking cows on the family farm.

He lived most of his life with his parents on the farm until they sold it and then in Montpelier, Idaho where his parents owned the Michele Motel. When his parents retired they moved back to Ogden Utah, where Larry worked at Enable Industries for 19 years doing various kinds of work.

Larry was able to move to Idaho Falls to be with his twin brother Garry for his last few months which gave him enormous support and Comfort. Larry was a sweet gentle and loving spirit who would help whenever he could. Larry was his mom and dad‘s right hand as he help them with many tasks. Larry‘s favorite hobbies were classic car shows, shopping antique shops, and going out to eat. His favorite foods were hamburgers and breakfast food which he would always order for dinner. He loved spending time with his family, old western movies, vacations and road trips.

Larry is survived by his twin brother, Garry Lee Parkinson; brother, Kenneth G (Katie); nieces, Jessica Renee (Mike) and Rebecca Jackson-Flint (Chad); great-nephews, Kassler, Kye; and special cousins, Linda Keller Palfreyman and Charles (Vicky) Windham. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Jessie Parkinson; and nephew, Travis Lee Jackson.

The family wishes to thank Grand Teton Group Homes. They are like a second family to him, and made it possible for Larry to be with his twin brother Gary, and afforded him much comfort and love.
