Larry L. Rose, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was born on September 3, 1939, in Logan, Utah, the son of Thomas LaVern and Eva Cooper Rose.
He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1962, stationed in Japan and California. His military services reflected his unwavering dedication to his country.
An avid golfer, Larry became a recognized figure at the Ben Lomond Golf Course, where he was affectionately known as “The Pope.” He earned deep respect from his golfing peers and enjoyed golfing with them.
Larry is survived by his three sons, L. Deloy Rose, Paul S. (Wendy) Rose, and Russell C. Rose; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Max Rose.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Rod Rose, Steve Rose, and Kevin Rose.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden, where full military honors will be accorded by VFW 1695. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
