Larry Ray Searle

Larry Ray Searle passed away December 29, 2012 peacefully at his home in Huntsville, Utah surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born June 3, 1945 in Hiawatha, Utah. Ray is the son of Ira and Stella Searle.

He attended Ogden City Schools and there he met the love of his life Cheryl Woodward. They were married on May 18, 1963 and they were blessed with 3 wonderful children.

Ray was a hard worker. He was a partner with his father and brother in Searle and Sons Cement Contracting. Each job was completed with perfection with help from his wonderful team, Kevin Widdison, Tyler Johnson and Mark Johnson.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and participated in State Pool Tournaments. He also loved to cook and bake. His favorite was white cake with fudge frosting. Fudge and divinity were the highlight of his day. Ray was known as a jokester and the "worlds" biggest tease.

Ray is survived by his best friend, Cheryl; 2 wonderful children, Julie (Cary) Johnson, Raelynn Goodwin (Dino Valerio); 8 grandchildren, Candice Searle, Tyler Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Jessica Adkin, Justin Searle, Bryce Searle, Joshlynn Searle, and Kylee Searle; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Gary Searle and 3 sisters, Jean Searle, Barbara (Jeff) Roe and Ann (Blain) Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jeff and sister Reva.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Roy City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
