“Grandma Rue”
LaRue Ulm passed away on April 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She fought a courageous lifelong battle with heart disease. She was born on October 25, 1958 to George A. and Marilyn Emily Payne Bunch. LaRue’s birth-mother, Marilyn, passed away in 1968. In 1969, LaRue and her siblings were blessed to receive a new mom, Gladys Nielsen Bunch.
LaRue graduated from Bonneville High School in 1976. She married her high school sweetheart, Bart Ulm, on December 9, 1977 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was employed at America First Credit Union. She loved the outdoors, camping, riding her four-wheeler, and enjoying her family- especially her little angels from Heaven. She loved making special quilts and blankets for each one of them and they dearly loved their “Grandma Rue”.
LaRue is survived by her loving husband Bart; sons Josh (Jaynee) Ulm and Jeremy (Jill) Ulm; grandchildren, Ashton, Brooklyn, Briggs, Hayden, Max, and Crew; sister LaDonna (Larry) McKain; brothers David (Mary) Bunch and Danny (Ellen) Bunch; mother-in-law Carol Cox; brother-in-law Steve (Shauna) Ulm; and sister-in-law Lindsey (Gerald) Dickson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A special thanks to her surgeons, doctors, and all the nurses in the ICU and 3rd Floor Cardiac Care Center at McKay-Dee Hospital, staff at Pineview Rehabilitation Center, as well as all her friends at America First Credit Union and Old Castle Precast.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may meet with family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
