LaRue S. Wayment
LAYTON – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, LaRue Seaman Wayment, peacefully left this world on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home and returned to her loving husband and Father in Heaven.
She was born September 13, 1926 in Ogden, to George A. Jr. and Ester Darhl Seaman.
LaRue married Fred Lloyd Wayment on December 5, 1947 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in several positions including Secretary of the Sunday School (20 years) and a Primary Secretary for the Primary for the physically and mentally challenged (five years).
She was employed at Hill Air Force Base retiring after 26 years of service.
LaRue enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for her children and grandchildren, bowling, golfing, boating and camping, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. LaRue was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She was also proud of her grandson, Jason, currently preparing to serve his third tour in Iraq.
She is survived by five children, Kathleen (Larry) Williams, South Weber; Linda Wayment, Layton; Kevin (Stephanie) Wayment, West Haven; Sharon (Mike) Wood, South Weber; Chris (Cinda) Wayment, Harrisville; 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brother Douglas B. (Fawn) Seaman and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two grandchildren John D. Wayment and Rachelle Parkin.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
