LaTrisha Louise Huston Paice

February 11, 1966 ~ October 31, 2015

LaTrisha Louise Huston Paice — our mother, daughter, wife and faithful friend — passed away during a trip to visit her children in Cedar City, Utah. Though years of chronic health issues had grown increasingly painful and confusing, her loving spirit and profound empathy never failed.

Trish was born February 11, 1966, to Lois Holmes Huston and Laurence Huston in Ogden. Through her childhood, she lived in Idaho, Colorado and California before coming to Kaysville, Utah, where she went to school and graduated from Davis High in 1984. She married Martin W. Romero in 1986 and had two children, McKenzie and Talon Romero. Though they later divorced, the shared goal of watching their children grow linked them in friendship.

Trish married David W. Paice in 1996, merging their two families into one. She loved Dave's daughter, Bradee Paice, as her own, and together they were blessed with another daughter, Amanda Paice. Trish and Dave met working at H&R Block, where she learned how to prepare income taxes and was promoted to office manager. They later opened their own business, Paice Tax & Accounting, and settled in Hooper where Trish loved getting to know her neighbors, watching the animals in the pasture, and sitting on the deck where she could see beautiful sunsets to the west and Ben Lomond Peak to the east.

Everyone knew that Trish's greatest joy in life was her children. She supported their unique interests and shared their accomplishments with everyone she could. She was a loving wife and a proud grandmother with a quiet and steadfast testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved smiling, teasing, listening to Bon Jovi, and cheering for the New York Yankees.

Trish is survived by her parents, her in-laws, Lamar and Rosella Paice, her husband, and her children, as well as three grandchildren: Jaxon, Aubree and Kloee; her brother, Floyd Huston (Margaret); two special cousins who she loved like sisters, Candice Mellor and Jeri Walters; numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; and her cat, Kiki. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Orville and Leila Holmes, and Floyd and Louise Huston; and a sister, Sharla Rae Huston.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Hooper Park Ward meetinghouse, 5601 South 6100 West, starting at 11a.m. A viewing will be held Friday, November 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, and Saturday prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, West Point Cemetery.
