Laura P. Burgon
FARMINGTON- Laura Palmer Burgon, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at her home in Farmington, Utah surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 19, 1927 in Preston, Idaho the daughter of Jedediah M. and Anna Rosella Forsgren Palmer. Married Glade Lynn Burgon July 29, 1949 in the Logan, Utah Temple.
Laura received a Business Administration degree from BYU and was a Real Estate Agent for 18 years. She also owned and operated a kitchen accessories store in Logan. She was a volunteer in her community and served in her local PTA.
Laura was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held various ward and stake music, leadership and teaching positions. She was a worker in the Bountiful and Logan Temples. Laura enjoyed gardening, music, children, water fights and her warm associations with everyone she met. Her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her husband Glade; sons Barre (Karen) Burgon, Tim Burgon, Sandy (Sherrie) Burgon, David (Shawna) Burgon; daughters Lauri (Hayden) Felt and Pamela (Matt) Peterson; 23 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Dorothy Greaves. Preceded in death by her son Rex Burgon, parents, six sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Orchard Ward, 1533 N. 1075 W. Farmington, Utah. Friends may call Thurs. from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Friday at the church from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
