Our sweet baby girl, Lauren, received her wings on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Taken from us too early due to a battle with Gaucher’s disease, she is now in Heaven with her grandmother, Catherine, and the other loved family members that preceded her, free to enjoy all the wonderful things that a child should.

Lauren was born May 20, 2014 surrounded by her proud family, sister and brothers excitedly taking part in her birth. From the beginning, she became the center of attention with her beautiful smile and big welcoming eyes. Lauren was never without one of the many unique bows that adorned her beautiful little head. Though not with us very long, Lauren was loved by the many friends that knew her either in person or followed her journey online.

The family would like to thank the many friends and family that supported them through this difficult time with their prayers and contributions. A very special thank you to our Hospice nurse, Michelle, whose love and compassion helped us tremendously through this difficult time.

“Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his flock so he picks a rosebud before it grows old.” We will miss our little rosebud but will always celebrate her life.

Lauren is survived by her parents, Erin and Chad Groninga, sister Krista, brothers Kaleb and Lucas, aunts Lindsay, Kristen, uncle Ryan, and grandparents Chuck and Vicki Groninga and Mark and Faith McCardle.

The family will meet with friends Monday, March 9, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10th at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, Ogden.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1781 Combe Road.
