Laurie Spencer

Laurie Spencer, 47, returned to her Heavenly Father on January 18, 2014. She was born in Ogden on March 17, 1966 to Clain Reed and Jean A. Spencer. She graduated from Layton High School. She married Alvin G. Ramshur and together they had two children, Christopher and Megan, they later divorced. She worked at IRS for more than 20 years. She loved to read, crochet, and travel and was very gifted at arranging flowers. Laurie is survived by her parents, two brothers Terry R. (Sharon) and Michael J (Laura), her children, her grandson Stryker, six nephews and one very special niece. She also leaves behind her beloved companion Duke, a Yorkshire terrier, who spent countless hours sitting on her lap. Her grandson Stryker was the delight of her life. He always brought a smile to her face. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was attended by Abundant Life Home Health and Hospice; our thanks for the care and love that they gave to her and to all of us. The family would also like to thank a very special sister-in-law, Sharon Spencer for her love, care, and support of Laurie and her children. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Clinton City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
