Lavonta “Lee” Bruch
Lavonta “Lee” Bruch passed into Heaven peacefully on December 17, 2019. She was born on January 12, 1926 in Canton, Oklahoma to Alec and Etta Mae Brickman. On January 15, 1944 she married the love of her life, Ellis Bruch, who received his pilot wings and commission as Lt. in the Army Air Corp. Her life adventure began and as an Air Force wife she traveled and lived all over the U.S. and lived in Panama, Japan and Italy. After retirement, she and Ellis returned to live in Layton and spent many years camping, fishing, hunting, snow skiing and traveling to visit friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Ellis Bruch Jr. and wife Linda, her daughter, Barbara LeBlanc and husband David, grandsons, Ellis Bruch III and Evan Bruch, granddaughters, Kelly Talele, Patricia Hughes, Katherine Siren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Research or JDRF.
