“Bud”
WASHINGTON TERRACE - Lawrence Charles Radle, 75, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010.
He was born June 10, 1934 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Lawrence Charles and Dorothy Prout Radle.
Bud married June Kennedy in 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. He was always actively involved with the scouting program and loved to see the young men advance and excel in life. He was awarded the Silver Beaver for the many years of service to the Scouts.
Bud attended Ogden City schools and graduated from Weber Junior College in 1954 and the University of Utah in 1956 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bud always had a love for aviation and began his career with North American Aviation/Rocketdyne, in Canoga Park, CA. He then worked at Hill AFB as an Aerospace Engineer working with many different types of aircraft. He retired as the F-16 Section Chief in 1990 after 32 years of service.
Bud enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, airplanes and old cars. He especially loved to do things with his family and later in life his grandchildren were the focus of his activities.
He is survived by his wife June; six children, Steven, Warner Robins, GA; Kristine (John Ernst), Riverdale; Michael (Michal), North Ogden; Brent (Lareen), North Ogden; John (Robin), Flower Mound, TX; Mark, Riverdale; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy (Chris Bolieau); a brother Joe (Kathy); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will visit with friends at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
